NOTICE ON ADMISSION INTO 2014/2015 FOUNDATION PROGRAMMES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the Foundation Programmes offered by the University of Lagos in the 2014/2015 Session.  Students who have two A-level passes, HND holders and graduates of recognized Institutions are exempted from the entrance examination and may be considered for admission into the Foundation Programme.
Highly successful candidates after the examinations administered by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), are eligible for consideration for direct admission into the 200 Level of the Degree Programmes of the University through JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) or admission into either the University of Bedfordshire, University of Central Lancashire, University of the West of England and University of Birmingham, U.K. as well as Soochow University, ChinaThis is strictly a non-residential programme.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of FIVE credits (English Language, Mathematics and three relevant subjects) obtained in one sitting at the SSCE/WASC, GCE/O/L, NECO with results obtained before registration. Note that Engineering, Computer Sciences and Mathematics candidates require credit in Further Mathematics. Candidates must be 16 years and above by September, 2014.
PROCEEDURE FOR COMPLETING FOUNDATION PROGRAMMES e-APPLICATION FORM:
  1. Log on to the University website: www.unilag.edu.ng, click on the Foundations Link;
  2. Read carefully the Subject Requirements Page to confirm if the applicant is registrable for the proposed course;
  3. Complete the Pre-Application Page to obtain a Payment Reference Number (PRN) using the applicant’s name.
  4. With the Payment Reference Number (PRN), make payment at any branch of: Access Bank,  ECOBANK, First Bank, GT Bank, UBA, Union Bank, WEMA Bank or Zenith Bank.
  5. After payment, log on to the University website: www.unilag.edu.ng, click on the Application Form Link. Log in with the Payment Reference Number (PRN) and applicant’s surname (lowercase) as password.
  6. Complete the Application Form, print two copies, stamp and sign them at the faculty of the proposed course of study, submit a copy at the Faculty Coordinator’s Office and come along with a copy for the entrance examination.
Please Note the following:
  • READ THE GUIDELINES FOR COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORMS ONLINE FOR REQUIREMENTS OF PROPOSED COURSE OF STUDY. This is crucial to determine if the applicant is registrable for the proposed course.
  • Cost of Application Form (including online free practice tests): N25, 000:00 (excluding bank charges).
  • Application (and submission of printed application forms to the Foundation Coordinators) opens on Thursday, May 22, 2014 and closes on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
  • Conduct of Examination: Computer-Based Testing (Please check the University website: www.unilag.edu.ng a week before the examination to verify venue and examination date).
  • Examination Dates: September 8 – 13, 2014.
  • Venue: check the University website (www.unilag.edu.ng) by Monday, August 25, 2014.
  • Mode of Examination: All Questions are Multiple Choice. Examination subjects are: Mathematics, English Language and 3 relevant subject areas of 15 questions each, that is a total of 85 questions to be answered in 1 hour. Students are to report at designated venues at 7:00 a.m. for verification. Examinations will begin at 9:00 a.m.
  • Results will be released on the University website and at the Faculties on Monday, September 29, 2014.
  • Registration starts: October 6, 2014.   
  • Period of Programme: October 6, 2014 – June 30, 2015.
